Choose the Right Bike
Choosing the right bike is a big deal! Most bikes today are priced between $300 and $3000, making the purchase of a bike a major investment. The very best thing you can do for yourself is to visit an independent bike store. Not a big box, not the internet. Your local bike shop has salespeople who have the knowledge and expertise to help you make your bicycle selection. Your first consideration is to know where you will be riding: on pavement, dirt trails or both. Some bikes are made specifically for one or the other, while others are versatile enough to do both. Once you know your riding style we can narrow down the selection and focus on performance, versatiality or comfort. No matter what style of bike you choose, fit is essential. Your sales person will fit you with the correct frame size (stand over height), the proper seat height and the the proper reach to the handlebars. Test riding will allow you the opportunity to see how the bike feels and what fine tuning is needed for your particular body type. Bicycling is fun and a great way to get exercise while being kind to the environment at the same time. It can also be a great way to run errands, commute to work or experience a backcountry trail. Whatever your goal we are here to help.
